"For several years we have contemplated the possibility of changing the name of our magazine. Several of our readers have also made the suggestion. We have given careful thought as to what that name might be. The purpose of the magazine would remain the same. For several years the major thrust has been overall church growth with personal evangelism being one avenue of growth. Therefore, it seemed logical to change the name to "Church Growth." Therefore, as of this issue, the new name of our magazine becomes "Church Growth."
We will continue as always to offer to our readers a magazine that is both practical and scriptural. It will continue to search for information that aids the growth of the local congregation. Our magazine is the only one of its kind. It continues to have a major mission of helping us reach and teach lost souls. We continue to be grateful to our readers who read the magazine and pass it on to others, and to all those who write articles and those who share their success stones. 1 Clayton Pepper is editor and publisher of Church Growth Magazine. This article was published in Church Growth 1 (October - December, 1985): 2.
