Traditional Christian Outreach
- Geography of the Outreach
- Outreach in the Church -- The spiritual and physical needs of the members within the Church. The visit of members in the hospital, prayer groups, Bible study, home church groups
- Outreach in the Community -- People within the Community, usually non-members and people who have not attended in a long time. Many times this includes helping people after a fire has burned down a house or mobile home, a poor person without a job, community day care centers with Christian emphasis.
- Outreach in the World -- Normally national and foreign missions. More often than not this is the only area thought of as missions -- "the ones sent" to help the poor and the unbelieving. The missionary establishing a church, and physically and and spiritually helping individuals in foreign countries.

- Types of communications
- ONE way communication. This method is less than 5% effective in bringing people to Christ. Yet many churches spend their budgets in this area. ONE way communication would include the use of pamphlets, books, newpapers, faxes, door hangers where information is sent from one person to another without the use of eye contact, body language, and vocal response.
- TWO way communication. This method is over 95% effective in building a growing church. TWO way communication would include conversation between two or more people. The minister would have eye contact, the movement of the head, and the occasional "A-men" to know how the sermon is coming across. This would include the handshake and a few words after the sermon to express approval or disapproval of parts of the sermon. This includes church members talking to others.
